Andrea is a Broadway veteran and teaching artist based in New York City. Born in Oregon, she embarked on her musical journey at three, starting with the piano. Throughout her youth she participated in multiple classical piano festivals, and competitions, while extensively studying music theory and repertoire through the NFMC syllabus.
At seven she began to learn how to play the violin, but it wasn't until she reached high school that she unearthed her deep-seated passion for singing and acting. Andrea then went on to earn a B.F.A. in musical theatre from Syracuse University. Upon her arrival in New York, she had her debut in her first of four Broadway shows, including Rent, Once, Cabaret, and Indecent.
Subsequently, she has garnered recognition for her performances in various regional productions across the United States and notably headlined the national tour of Cabaret in the role of Sally Bowles.
Andrea's teaching philosophy, whether she is instructing professionals or young learners, consistently centers on discovering the joy and passion within music. She customizes her lessons to accommodate each student's unique learning needs. She prioritizes establishing a solid foundation in technique and theory while fostering a supportive and joyous environment for unleashing musical creativity.
