John is a seasoned musician, performer, and music educator with a diverse skill set across genres ranging from Golden Oldies to Contemporary Rock, Pop, and Folk. Highly proficient on both acoustic and electric guitar, John offers an instructional style that adapts to each student’s unique strengths and preferences. With over two decades in the entertainment industry, John has developed an intuitive approach to teaching that combines technical skill with a genuine enthusiasm for music!

John graduated from Pepperdine University with a degree in Theatre Arts, which set the stage for his early career in musical theater. Since 2013, he has brought his talents to renowned productions like The Buddy Holly Story and Ring of Fire, where he contributed his musical abilities on stage as both a performer and musician. In 2015, John was honored to join the Broadway touring production of Once, playing guitar, ukulele, and cajón. This experience solidified his reputation as a versatile and accomplished musician in the theater world, where he combined musicianship with acting in a unique, interactive style.

In 2017, John expanded his artistic vision by co-founding the Pop/Rock band Nicotine Dolls, where he serves as the lead guitarist. Since its formation, Nicotine Dolls has grown a substantial fanbase, with over 800,000 followers on Instagram and over 1 million on TikTok. The band has toured nationally, performing as an opening act for notable artists like Marc Broussard, while also headlining their own successful tours across the United States. John’s role in Nicotine Dolls has allowed him to bring his artistry to a broad audience and connect with fans who resonate with the band’s authentic sound and emotive performances.

Passionate about sharing his love for music, John has dedicated himself to teaching young learners. Since moving to NYC in 2017, he has introduced children to music through well-known programs such as Mozart for Munchkins, Curated Care, and NYC Kids Club. In addition, he offers private lessons tailored to the needs of each student, focusing on creating a positive and non-judgmental learning environment. John’s teaching philosophy emphasizes learning at a comfortable pace and structuring lessons around each student’s individual interests and musical tastes.
