Kely P., a cellist from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, defies Classical norms with her diverse musical journey. Raised in a music-loving family, she challenged stereotypes early on, joining Rio's Camerata Laranjeiras in 2013 to explore various genres like folk and Brazilian music. Awarded a full-tuition scholarship at Berklee College of Music in 2018, Kely supported Norwegian artist Astrid S on tour and earned degrees in Cello Performance and Contemporary Writing & Production by 2022. She then toured with Broadway show Hadestown before pursuing a Master of Music in Multi-Style Strings at New Jersey City University in 2024.

 

Discovering her talent for singing, songwriting, and producing at Berklee, Kely also joined the Nebulous String Quartet, blending Portuguese and English lyrics to connect with a global audience emotionally. Her music promises a journey that's both enlightening and enjoyable, inviting listeners to experience her heartfelt cello arrangements.

 

Kelly’s mission is to give students the resources and attention they need to grow into confident, effective musicians through fun and enjoyable activities. She loves to incorporate different styles of music into lessons, giving them the opportunity to explore new musical worlds. She strives to be an educator who inspires her students to be the best version of themselves!
