Pat B. began playing guitar at the age of ten with the encouragement of his musician father. Pat has studied at New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, as well as the City College of New York, where he received his Masters in Jazz Performance.

Pat's versatility in music and in teaching music is very extensive. Not only does Pat teach all levels and ages but he specializes in teaching Jazz, Classical, Contemporary, Rock, Blues, Funk, R&B, Folk and Neo Soul.
Pat has performed at the New York area’s most prestigious venues, including Birdland Theater, Fat Cat Jazz Club, Club Bonafide, Rainbow Room, and The Fillmore Philadelphia. He has performed with acclaimed musicians including Ian Hendrickson-Smith, Billy Kaye, James Zollar, Avalon Jazz Band, Lapis Luna, and many more.
Pat’s teaching philosophy is centered around his students’ musical interests and ambitions. Using student-selected material, Pat will teach guitar technique, music theory, sight reading, ear training, and much more, always considering the student’s musical interests! Pat is very energetic and passionate about teaching music to students of all stages. He is very keen on finding the "aha!" moment for all of his students!
